Julian Mattes

Julian Mattes is a Partner at the Frankfurt Office.

He is involved in sourcing, analysing, and carrying out investments in the digital and tech sectors. His investment and board experience at Yttrium includes CleverConnect, Platform.sh, quantilope, Cosaic, Truce, Seven Senders, riskmethods (acquired by Sphera), and orderbird (acquired by Nets).

Prior to Yttrium, Julian spent three years at Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank in leadership positions (head of payments and deposits) and six years as a strategy consultant at McKinsey. Julian holds an MSc and a PhD in business administration from the Goethe University of Frankfurt. He lives with his wife and two kids in Frankfurt.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and practicing for triathlon events.
